RENTAL AGREEMENT

(Please review as there are changes)

 

This agreement is between Peaceful Valley Camp, hereafter called the CAMP MANAGER/OWNER, and , Hereafter called the RENTER.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

 

  1. The use of alcoholic beverages, illicit drugs, any form of tobacco, firearms, or fireworks will not be tolerated.

 

  1. The OWNER will not tolerate in any form, physical, emotional, sexual, or neglect-type abuse of any child. It will be reported to the child abuse hotline 800-392-3738. All accusations will be investigated and anyone suspected of abusing any child will be reported to the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff Department.

 

  1. Clothing must be MODEST, including swimwear. Any swimwear that is not modest MUST be covered by a dark-colored T-shirt.

 

  1. The RENTER shall be responsible to the OWNER for any damages to buildings, equipment, and personal property on the premises belonging to the OWNER or an employee. The property will be left clean and in an orderly condition suitable for immediate occupancy.

 

A FULL INSPECTION OF CAMP GROUNDS WILL BE DONE BY THE CAMP MANAGER AND DIRECTOR/DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE OF EACH CAMP. THE RENTER’S DEPOSIT WILL BE FORFEITED IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE FOUND OR BE CREDITED TO RENTER’S ACCOUNT IF NO DAMAGE IS FOUND.

  1. The camp has insurance and it is designed to supplement the RENTER’S personal or organization’s group insurance. In the event of an injury requiring medical treatment, claims will be filed FIRST with the RENTER’S insurance company. The RENTER must provide PROOF OF INSURANCE prior to arrival and the RENTER absolves the Peaceful Valley Camp, its agents and employees of any liability during the time of this Rental Agreement.

 

  1. Children under the age of eighteen MUST be supervised by responsible adults while on camp property.

 

  1. Footwear MUST be worn at all times, including to and from the swimming pool.

 

  1. Pets are not allowed on camp property ONLY if authorized by the Camp Manager.

 

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS

 

  1. DEPOSIT:
  1. must immediately submit a deposit of $250.00 to hold the camp for the date requested. This refund will be returned immediately after camp use, provided no damages found.

 

  1. POOL:

The RENTER must provide a CERTIFIED LIFEGUARD who must be present any time the swimming pool is used. (Proof of certification must be provided upon arrival). The lifeguard will be responsible for enforcing the following rules.

 

  1. NO DIVING
  2. NO RUNNING or PUSHING
  3. NO FOOD or DRINKS inside fenced area.
  4. Campers that have been playing and are dirty must shower before entering the pool.
  5. Non-pool equipment or personal belongings will NOT be allowed in pool.
  6. Reminder: Dress code is modest.

 

  1. DINING HALL:

This will be cleaned by the RENTER, removing all trash and left-over food products. (DO NOT throw any food on the ground outside as it brings in unwanted animals and critters.) The RENTER will provide disposable products for their stay, which includes paper or plastic plates, cups, silverware etc.

 

The RENTER will provide all food products and cooks.

 

The OWNER will provide an equipped kitchen and dining hall. This includes cooking utensils, dish towels, freezer, coolers, stove/convection oven, microwave, clothes washer and dryer, ice maker, tables and chairs for approximately 100 people.

 

Please note that the camp dining hall does not have a dishwasher.

 

  1. BBQ GRILL:

There is a BBQ grill under the overhang at the dining hall to the left of the dining hall front door. If used, RENTER needs to bring it out from under the overhang to the designated area. It must be cleaned after each use. RENTER should return grill to original location after the grill has cooled.

 

 

  1. FIRST AID:

The RENTER will provide FIRST AID SUPPLIES.

 

 

  1. RECREATION FIELD:

The OWNER will provide a recreation field equipped for:

Softball - Kickball - Volleyball – Basketball – Tetherball

Tug-of-war, Horseshoes, Frisbee DISC Golf,

Hatchets but only with complete adult supervision

 

  1. PARKING AREAS:

There are vehicle parking areas made available between DINING HALL, BLANCHE, in area of POOL. NO PARKING ON GRASS OR ALONG THE ROAD IN FRONT OF THE SHOWER HOUSE/CABINS. ONLY Temporary parking for unloading and loading. (For the safety of campers)

DISCLAIMER:

It is our intent as Camp Personnel to take pictures and share them on social media. The RENTERs responsibility is to identify those who are not to be photographed.

 

 

CHECK LIST

 

 

  1. UPON ARRIVAL
  • Meet with Camp Manager/helper
  • Inspection of Camp Ground and Buildings
  • In Kitchen: separate paper goods, metal goods and garbage waste in appropriate containers (do not dispose of; Camp Manager/helper will take care of these)
  • Bring a copy of certification for lifeguard (a waiver is provided if necessary. RENTER is responsible)

 

  1. UPON DEPARTURE

 

DINING HALL AND KITCHEN

  • Sweep floor
  • Clean all sinks, counters and tables
  • Clean dishes and return to proper storage areas
  • Wipe out Coolers (in dining hall and kitchen)
  • Empty garbage in trash receptacles

 

SHOWER HOUSES AND POOL BATHROOM

 

DORMS (BLANCHE / CLEVELAND / AMBASSADOR

 

ALL AREAS OF THE FIELDS (small field/large field)

  • Pickup any balls/toys/disc golf frisbees
  • Pickup water balloons and pieces or any small pieces of paper trash
  • Empty trash and leave at the dumpsters (do not put in dumpsters)

 

UPON COMPLETION OF THE ABOVE, PLEASE NOTIFY CAMP MANAGER OR HELPER FOR FINAL INSPECTION OF CAMP GROUNDS AND BUILDINGS. CLEANING FEES APPLY IF LEFT UNCLEAN.
